“Philly in the 6” has created an authentic cheesesteak popup experience, paying homage to Philadelphia’s #1 voted best cheesesteak shop “John’s Pork Roast” as well as providing original creations like their “double drenched” Philly in the 6 original four cheese “Imperial cheese sauce” cheesesteaks a mac & cheese cheesesteak and an “All Day” Breakfast Cheesesteak. These are so gooey cheesy, they come with their own recyclable gloves to eat with!

Philly in the 6 after 6 months of recipe trials and numerous tastings, is open Saturday April 2nd and is open 7 days a week thru to Thursday June 21st
Peter Scott the proprietor and creator behind the “Philly in the 6” serves a selection of four cheesesteak offerings, including the “Original Philly Cheesesteak” a testament to the finest cheesesteak in Philadelphia” and after a 3-month search for a Toronto bakery that could create the crustiest and softest sesame Vienna Stick that would match the Philadelphia master at John’s Pork Roast! We now offer the most authentic cheesesteak; Toronto will be able to experience for 3 months only!
Our Philly Selections
Each cheesesteak includes a ½ pound of shredded steak as well as half size combo options…
“The Original Philly” (WIT or WITOUT caramelized onions, the four cheese melty Imperial cheese sauce or provolone, our signature “The Torontonian” (2x double drenched Imperial melty cheese sauce), Mr. Mac & Cheese dusted in truffle (curly cheesy noodles and steak) and the “All Day” Breakfast Cheesesteak (eggs, steak, spicy siracha, mayo and “huge” blanket pickles).
Our Philly original fries are an Australian favorite with chicken salt spice! or skip the Vienna stick and make it fry’s cheesesteak plate.
Where are We
Peter will be serving up these Philly’s in a comfortably small downtown kitchen located at 1516 Dundas St. West The location is the THE MUTT Bar.
Open 7 days a week - Monday to Saturday 5pm to late and Sunday 11am to 7pm (or until sold out) for takeout only. Walk ins, take out and sit down options with pints are available most evenings!
